R.I.P. David Foster Wallace
Strange that I referenced him just a few posts back. I never realized I had such a strong connection to his work 'til he was gone.
Here's Michiko Kakutani's obit in the N.Y. Times.
Very Sad.
There's a bunch of links about Wallace at Fimoculous.

Jay,
We do not know each other, we have actually met(Iain and Mark's reading at Three Foods), and have many mutual friends. How I got here, is the lovely quixotic nature of the Interntets. It was heartbreaking, but everything about DFW was, there was so very much pain. I cannot say that I was surprised, I am not angry, some are, just sad. Sad about him, sad about life, sad about the world(weltschmerz, I got it all over, like hives, right now.) Anyway..........I read your blog and wanted to share in some sorrow.....oh, and I saw the Tom Waits post....don't even get me started...I have a Tom Waits sickness or thing?
