I was rather surprised to see this article in the Times Standard. Sometimes they can surprise you.
You know, Jay, the New York Times did not seem too enthused about the thing. At 27,000 pages, they must have received a review copy a year or so ago.
Well, Michiko Kukitani has been laying waste to a lot of high profile books lately, so I'm not too surprised. I think much of the hostility that the book'll recieve is due to reviewers having to deal with this behemoth on deadline.
The Sunday NYT book review reportedly has a more charitable review.
80 pages in, I'm loving it.
