THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON
I haven't seen this much praised documentary about the outsider singer/songwriter yet (we usually have to wait for the DVD release up here in the sticks), but my friend Pinky Royale has, and he's posted a great insightful review of the film on his new blog.
UPDATE: I finally did get a chance to see the film (it did actually screen here in town) and can add little to Pinky's review. See it.

I'll admit I'd never heard of him until I heard about the documentary. But as soon as I saw the preview, I knew I wanted to see the film. He sounds like a fascinating individual.
