AMERICANA by QUE LA CHINGA

country radio--like dead poems, thru a cell phone
disposable rock n roll--a consumeristic tempo,
a teenage manifesto.
as your dreams fill with dollars and cents
and how to spend those dead presidents.

your new elected whore, is praying for another war
freeways crowd and the broadcasts scream
a bleak mirage of plasticene
in a psuedo democracy,
endless columns of suv.

american demise --enhance the digital emptiness
in your eyes.
media televised --with clever quips and soundbites
sitcom supersized.

americana franchised and new
our diesel burns red, white, and blue.
pacified and living well
growth like a cancer cell.
